A special documentary on the historic Orthodox monasteries across Lebanon, Cyprus, Greece, and Russia, shedding light on the beauty of monastic life and the unity of prayer in monasteries suspended between earth and heaven.With special permission from the Greek Ministry of Culture and the Greek Orthodox Church, filming took place at the Meteora monasteries—listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites—as well as at the Kykkos Monastery in Cyprus, which houses one of the three icons believed to have been painted by Saint Luke.The inspiring visuals are accompanied by the beautiful voices of Archimandrite Kabarinos Nikodimos from Athens, Greece; the choir of the Orthodox Archdiocese of Mount Lebanon from the Monastery of Prophet Elijah - Shwayya, Lebanon; and the Aeterna Choir from Larnaca, Cyprus.The documentary is written and presented by Elie Ahoush and directed by George Daou.
