Gold breaks $3,300 barrier for first time
Gold prices hit an all-time high during early Wednesday trading, as a weaker dollar, rising trade tensions, and concerns over global economic growth boosted demand for the precious metal, which is considered a safe haven.

The spot price of gold rose by 1.7% to $3,281 per ounce at 04:52 GMT, having earlier reached a session peak of $3,275.20 per ounce, according to Reuters data.

U.S. gold futures climbed by 1.9%, surpassing the $3,300 mark for the first time ever, at 05:10 GMT.
